The market is made up of humans. Some line up early, some sleep in, some think they'll get where they want to go faster by swapping to another queue, Many wait to see whether it was worth being in the queue then realise it got much longer and pay a premium to jump the queue.

The market isn't an entity its just the scoreboard result of a whole lot of people doing very human things, the price is just where all these interactions land. It's a waste of time contemplating what everyone is thinking because every transaction has a counterparty who thinks the exact opposite.
