In a lot of cases the secret to getting throughput up is a case of reducing or removing bottlenecks. While I am not familiar with the WGX plants, I work for a mining Multinational and our department has been working on de-bottlenecking projects for the last decade. All of our plants now run at between 1.2 to 2 times nameplate albeit with a mostly constant primary crusher feed. Given what I have read from the posts above, mining cant fill the plants at the moment, when that situation changes de-bottle necking can be a cost effective method of upping throughputs and most of the work can be tied into planned maintenance shut-downs. Does anyone know if WGX has done any studies on bottle necks?
