In my 18yrs of investing, I've found it's usually the way. The share price falls below your entry price and a take over offer sees you out with nothing to show or even a loss. Sometimes averaging down is just throwing good money away.
If an offer came out today for say...... 22c which is a 40% premium, that's a bad outcome for a lot of shareholders.
