What difference does it make? I know Joseph Smith had every devotee on these threads believing that SC6.0 was inevitable. IIRC nothing short of processing the DSO material could have the plant producing anything less.

That was a disservice to LTR holders by inventing a notion that anything less than 6.0 was failure. From my perspective it was borne of petty jealousy or a need to prophetise the idea that KV was to be 2nd only to Greenbushes and 6.0 was an easy, understandable point of difference to spread.

The truth is far more nuanced. As most would know, pricing between SC5.0 and 6.0 is very linear. Beyond that, rarely do lab met tests translate to scale in the Lithium space. It is the correct call from the team at LTR to maximise returns. A big part of that is producing an on spec saleable product while balancing the needs of customers and recovery from the ore.

Forget the 6.0 narrative. It's just hot air that was useful in the heady preproduction days for some to pump the LTR SP by making outrageous claims along the lines of the plant being incapable of producing anything but 6.0 while taking potshots at any peers selling below that grade.

    5.2 is absolutely fine.
