    they would not be doing this if there was no profit. they are in it for the profit.

    Remember these companies work on yearly averages for working out their profits not todays spot price and the average at the moment is somewhere around $125-$130/ton,62%FE

    Even if we say after costs it cost them $70/ton(instead of $56/ton) to get it delivered to the customer then after current yearly IO average of est $125US/ton they make $55US/ton profit to share out.(30%) to other company. Even if IO drops to a Yearly average $90US they still would be making $20US/ton which would be fine. profit is profit whether its $20 or $55. $55 is better of course. dont forget to add the AUS dollar conversion after that. Another 10% atm and this will be long term according to economists.

    figures above are not researched just figures that have been tossed around the place so just estimates on recollection cause im not researching for you :)
