I noted that Downer's results yesterday caused a big share price fall because of an uncertain outlook, even though underlying numbers were only slightly off last year (revenue and NPAT both had falls of less than 10%) and WIH actually increased. DOW is a many times more mature and diversified business than DCG and its management has been through business cycles and have tried to adapt. DCG is becoming not much more than a single village in a declining city in Queensland.
