Agree Re the deferred tax assets. There are ways to get around it but i believe it can require independent tax rulings. When WAM Leaders (WLE) took over Century (CYA) they had a way to use them but from memory it required them to keep CYA running for a bit longer until all the tax losses were used up before they merged it into WLE. I don't think they are something you'd want hanging around for too long but it feels like with performance over the last 12 months there will be some gains being realised before long.
