Two weeks after Arrium goes into administration the Federal Government decide to implement tariffs of 30% and 50% on imported cheap steel.  Must have felt a little guilty after all the previous warnings from Arrium and the steel trade wars involving US and China.

With falling overseas investment in Australia and a crashing dollar,you would think politicians would be encouraging foreign support of local industry via investment instead of telling those willing to invest,Australia is run by idiots and we needn't bother because some overseas white night (rape and pillage predators that do occasionally skip without paying tax)will pick up the mess and sort it without affecting the voting public,just their pension funds.

Australians have got what they have voted for,fortunately investors can invest elsewhere,such as Zimbabwe,or Indonesia,where you know if you've played the game,no matter how crooked at least your investment is safe from predators,unlike Australia.

you really have to wonder why the current overseas investment preference is currently in favor of NZ negative on AUS.
