there was an interesting article on the front page of the weekend afr regarding short selling and the australian markets ignorance of bad news/realistic fundamental analysis. many people are out there objectively looking at companies and any 'non-complimentary' news is labeled 'down ramping' and ignored. imho ignorance of contradictory opinion/analysis is at the detriment of the investor and could prove costly.
for myself i have no intention of 'down-ramping' any company, though i am happy to report any observations that do not fit the story being spun by the promoter of that story.
for sure there are many gaps in the reporting by amn and i won't be investing in them until these gaps are filled, but they report that they are actively working to fill these gaps - time will tell.
