Bottomline is that APC is like all Aussies, relatively cheap on the global cost curve but looking to be the most expensive compared to domestic peers. Do you think that is a good start if the company is chasing the domestic market as it appears to be doing?
Personally I don't think the SO4 capex is that great considering they aren't building own power plant, have access to ready made freshwater source and have the 'infrastructure advantage' of Wiluna airstrip etc.

It would be interesting to know how a APC/SO4 combined operation would have stacked up. Using APC paleo channel, SO4 trench, SO4 real estate for ponds, single processing plant/ponds and without MOP. Might have been a big operation with very low costs. And just imagine how much DFS work could have been funded with the Blackham transaction. This alone will end up being worth 2/3 APC current MC and almost twice current MC of RWD!

I can't help thinking that APC has done much more work than SO4 with proving it has a resource. APC has stuck to its guns with the channel and bores and it looks like a tried and tested method based on bore fields in the goldfields. SO4 on the other hand are depending on trench for 71% of brine and data is hard to hard amongst all their presentations.
