I have to say that I smell some sort of corporate action - maybe even a take over = hostile or friendly. There have been a remarkable amount of suf $500 trades over the last month = all pushing the SP down a fraction.
Someone is setting the agenda. Making sure the SP does not get to the options amount would appear to be a sound strategy - then MXC has a lower cash total. Much easier target.
Just a feeling.
