" I can realize a tax loss" - nope, don't think you can. You still have shares in a company. Until KKL is liquidated, goes bankrupt or perhaps bought out etc you have shares of undetermined value and can't legally pinpoint a tax loss.
Though from a 'value in my portfolio' pov, i think its safe to say $0.00 for now.
