Not looking like such a good idea for ALK management now was it? Shareholders have done amazingly well if they held ASM shares for a while (I've sold out of all of mine too early in this massive rally). The synergies were hardly a stretch for ALK and overall the dermerger (like so many more before it) was not a great strategic decision in my opinion. It seems the capital markets agrees with ALK stagnant whilst ASM flies.
These mid-caps will let themselves be charmed by the top end of town.
