kona has a high cobalt chemistry NMC622.
Realistically I expect OEMs to squeeze as much cobalt out of the cell as they can manage, but I dont think the manage to keep up with increasing demand.
The economics of Tesla's high Manganese chemistry dont stack up unless you consider supply chain risks and future demand.
If an OEM could get a secure supply of Cobalt and Nickel for a few dollars a pound by investing in the supply chain then the low nickel no Cobalt chemistries would take a back seat.
