1. New CEO is in the wings and ready to be appointed. 2. Mo's next venture potentially has a direct conflict of interest with Archer and best to part ways sooner than later. I believe this conflict to be very much in favour or Archer too. Which is why he departed in such a way. I still refuse to believe he just pulled up stumps and left like this if it wasn't in best interest of the project.
