Putting aside personal reasons, if you were launching your brainchild microsoft/apple/google, would you leave it for a higher-paying, higher profile job. For as along as I had confidence in my brainchild I would never leave it. It would be a red flag to me if in a few weeks/months time we hear that MO is moving on to another corporate appointment but you know, we all see these things differently. DYOR
