Hey mate, lots of thorough research done by you and others on here, which is greatly appreciated.
I did notice in your above post about Dublin Gulch that IRGS/RIRGS systems occur "in a tectonic setting well inbound of inferred or recognised convergent plate boundaries"
I double checked this and the following screenshot taken from Geoscience Australia (available from this link page 11) also has the same info: https://d28rz98at9flks.cloudfront.net/84567/Rec2017_005.pdf
El Zorro is right on the edge of the Nazca and South American Plates. Which happen to be a convergent boundary.
Is this a perceived problem for the deposit to be classified as an IRG system?
