Let's not lose sight of the big picture here. We are a long way down the road with EIS for Middle Arm, and have been asked by NTEPA for extra information, including justification for the location near Darwin.
I still see the default path forward as we present the assessment to the NTEPA as part of our response, and they can accept it or not on its merit. If through the process, this steering group find that the Darwin site is preferable, all things considered (including the financial impact, delays, etc...), then that is a good thing for TNG!
The only major risk I see is that we find that Darwin is preferable, but the NTEPA dig their heels in and deny the EIS on the basis that there is a suitable location with lower environmental impact.
Do people find this a strong possibility?
