Pretty simple Mado. They currently process all payments using the card network so both visa and mastercard take a small percentage. By having a linked bank account they bypass this and avoid the transaction costs and their net margin per transaction improves. Also having data on whats in a persons bank account, when they get paid etc they can use that data in their credit risk assesment reducing losses and further improving the net transaction margin.
