You have to stop thanking me. It’s embarrassing. At some level I actually feel sorry for those who have a penchant for dragging others into their fictions and who appear to have difficulty remembering what story they told whom. That’s a tough gig I think. How do they live with themselves - caring about whatever their version of truth is and their own self gratification more than actually doing the job. No wonder the communications during that period were confusing and misleading.
Anyway I like your summary. It’s a nice description of what seems to have happened
It’s a dreadful shame that the now old style board cared more about appearances than performance and so much time got wasted - as you say, a good example of the impact of poor governance and faulty executive action and a shaky moral base.
I’d agree about what looks like a sensible succession plan. Bob by the way has plenty of skin in the game and I like that too. Let’s hope that he too ensures there is back up - both in terms of chemical wizardry and good executive capability.
I’d still like to know who Jasmin is though. The post from Thursday sounded suspiciously like a bit of advance warning rather than prescience. Further, I’d like to know what’s in it for them to constantly sound alarm bells when they don’t hold shares. I’ve ranged from paid troll - but think it’s less likely -to disgruntled broker/adviser - possible and a few other options. But then why would you do that and make things worse? The psychology of some completely beats me - or at least seems troubled.
