Fingers crossed that everyone stays safe down there and the damage is minimal. Worrying stuff for Renison.

There were concerns early this morning for the town of Zeehan and the mining operation of Renison Bell on the west coast as a fire intensified and emergency alerts were declared due to a fire at Lynch Hill.

Watch and act alerts are in place for the same fire for Rosebery, Trial Harbour and Mount Heemskirk. The fire is moving in a southerly direction towards Renison Bell, where an underground tin mine is located. The TFS emergency warning for Zeehan and Renison Bell states that both locations could be at risk in the next two to six hours, and that the fire will be uncontrollable, unpredictable and fast moving.
