you are basing your calculations on the plant running at 33% and showing it’s not profitable. Even at 30% your calculations are showing a loss of only $500 per tonne produced which is hardly haemorrhaging cash. In my opinion you are underestimating the production rate but we don’t know yet. I ran the numbers to break even and that was at only 50%. It was just an example to show what I think is the break even point.
At 50% efficiency they only need to be running the plant for 12hrs over a 24hr period. Given they are still in commissioning and ramp up their production rates will be lower so even running the plant for 7-8 hours out of a 12hr shift they should be breaking even
