Yes you are correct, with your assumptions above.
The beauty of separating the feed pumps, allows you to only process the ore, as required.
There is no point in running multiply pumps at 1 time and waste energy / power, if is not required.
1 as to remember that from day 1, WKT has always stated that they want to run the entire plant, sufficient as possible, this way money as not been wasted.
More money saved, is better for the bottom line and more profit for WKT.
Maybe it might be beneficial if you shoot a email to the company or some other poster's might help with your query.
