Hi Spid, I agree that flake size and purity must be below expectations. If it weren't the case, there would be an official announcement. As to why the plant, despite 8 months of commissioning, isn't operating to expectations, it may well be those expectations cannot be met because the design is based on pilot plant results from drill core rather than processing a bulk sample through a commercial scale testing facility.

There has been quite a bit of chest beating from the bulls about variable speed drives and "dialling in" the automated control system which essentially adjusts the plant depending on results from samples and various physical measurements from sensors installed throughout the comminution and floatation circuits. I think it is likely that they cannot get this automated system to work due to damaged or poorly calibrated sensors and software issues.
