ARE they "cheap bricks"? I didn't say it was cheap or second-rate or low quality. I said it appears to be normal for the area. You see quite different styles of home construction in different parts of Australia, adapted in various ways for local conditions, and also to fit in with local traditions and norms. Timber and weatherboard cladding are quite unusual where I live, but common n some other parts of Australia. Bricks made on site might be the premium local construction for the area.
