And a note on exploration strategy.. If they're feeling really optimistic and have no better options the relatively high heat-flow could justify a 3 km hole to look for permeable units and faults and check temperature. If the heat flow modelling was accurate that should get them to 150 C. A initial seismic survey should be done to check the thickness of the basin (if it's only 1.5 km then don't bother) and if there any major faults associated with surface hot springs. However I'd also want taxpayers to chip in a large part of the exploration cost as well.
