I am pleased to see that Lyn Brazil, the second largest shareholder with 15.63% of the Devine shares has put in writing to ASIC that he will not accept the Cimic takeover offer for less than 90 cents a share. I am certainly going to join him now. I never did want to accept this bid but I was concerned that if Brazil had accepted it, then Cimic would have got more than 90% and been in a position to take the remaining shareholders out. This can't happen now.
What this means of course is that those who do accept the takeover bid will only get 75c a share because Cimic cannot get the 90% now.
