Yep, its clear now that Basel 3 regulations were aimed at exactly that point but as always, greedy bastards are not gonna listen.
Why would they when they get the gains but socialise the losses.
Either way the shift has been happening since 2014 (CBs buying gold over USTs) but is accelerating at a rapid pace now as we get the end of a major busrting sovereign debt cycle.
Better get those monetary hedges tucked away in a safe place.
