The McGowan Government did make those comments (gave VMY and Toro five years) but my understanding is that no such actual legal or regulatory impediments were put in place. Just noise in response to the previous government's end of term/ eleventh hour approvals. I can't see an Australian State government of any flavour rescinding an existing an approval.
