Significant announcement IMO. It confirms that by the end of the next two quarters the DFS will be done.
The DFS is fundamental, no matter how attractive projects may appear, it is the DFS which allows for a golden key to unlock funds. Keen as potential players may be (I expect many are), whether it be for equity or asset-linked deals ( streams, royalties etc), debt or any type of working capital injection at all really, players need a DFS for confirmation of project risk, to cover their own bottoms -so to speak-. Simplistically it's not dissimilar in concept to the valuation used on your mortgage, however bigger! as some DFS can go to 1% of a projects cost!.
To pubically confirm that it is due by the end of the next two quarters means it's very advanced and realistic.
The IRA turned the critical minerals landscape on its head, all in the last 12 months too, I wondered if this alone could interfere with the DFS timeline.
