Is the number of holes planned large?
In the presentation at D&D fences of holes are mentioned so for a thought experiment:
There are 6 target areas (5 really with Crean Hoschke effectively one). And Shackleton and??other targets not shown?
Rough dimensions can be scaled from this map and then it is a matter of what line and hole spacings are used.
I would expect one or two wide spaced fences per anomaly to determine if further step out drilling would be necessary.
Many options with drilling the long axes of Hurley, Wild and Green with scout holes to see if IOCG or Carbonatite potential exists.
Say 5 exploratory holes each for Hurley, Wild and Green giving some 15 holes for a detailed first pass.
Crean/Hoshcke is going to be drilled with a grid pattern of some sort. Narrow (two holes per fence?) at the west end and widening to the East (4-5 holes per fence?).
If all warrant grid drilling - Yes please!!

10 scout holes + 40 odd for wide space testing on Crean/Hoschke + Shackleton and ?more for Caird?
Gets to 50+ fairly quickly and these would not give overlapping coverage if only drilled a short distance into fresh rock on 200m hole spacing.
A lot of thought goes into drill programs with many options needing to be considered.
Norwest are using aircore for the clay hosted REEs to the south of Lake Mackay. Would RC or aircore be more appropriate for ENR?

The two targets tabled for early next year are Mawson and Perce.
Now if Will is correct and they are mineralised and under only 5m of cover,EAL01 and other holes have shown the cover is shallow. I wondered if this might be the case for the Mawson/Perce/Wordie area.
In the absence of drilling there is limited indication of the cover depth.
Magnetics may give a hint especially if there is deep cover masking bedrock. Mawson/Wordie should be relatively shallow but Perce has no significant magnetic signature.
Another data source is government mapping.

The dashed green outlines are from the Webb 250K mapping. All are related to weathering products of basement but only minor actual outcrop may or may not be present.
Going east to Wordie/Perce the mapping shows only recent cover which may gradually increase to the SE towards Lake Mackay.
Mawson - suspect shallow cover
Wordie - deeper.
Perce quite deep cover??
