It would be extremely rare for a company needing more capital to risk it all on a positive result. Most of the time you would see some sort of bullish announcement alluding to a successful drilling campaign, then while the market anticipates good assays they do a cap raise, the instos get the added incentive of an immanent volume event to sell shares if they need to, retail says they should have raised at a higher price after assays. The assays drop, instos sell and the true value of the assays seemingly never gets the chance for a fair realisation, management cop a little flack over the timing of the raise, but life goes on.
this could all still happen of course. The alternative is that they are confident they can raise capital at higher price after drilling, big call in this market. Maybe they are just gonna let the chips fall where they may, raise capital at whatever price when they are clean out of money, or maybe they have a different plan altogether. I really have no idea currently.
