I will know more tomorrow. Where they are drilling now is easily visible, I might suggest to my mate we go for a spin out there regularly. Dubbo has not had a virus case for 5 days but the remnants of the drug dealers infecting Wellington is still with us and some of us at our age do not need to catch the bl**dy thing trapsing all over the countryside having contact with all and sundry. This one has my interest a bit so might go for a spin and have a look occasionally. I can get onto that property but do refrain from harassing people too much. Not wise to wear out the welcome mat in the bush. It also borders the cemetery. Spoke to a relative of landholders out there a few days ago and he said as kids they were always told - mind out for holes and don't go in any as they are full of snakes. Heard of a couple of six foot browns already near the Boda site and they are the meanest of mean critters. Not keen to go wandering thru long grass everywhere. Would love to own the small paddock that is the Commonwealth, it still has remnants and I reckon would be a great historic Winnebago/campers site (brown snakes aside). Plus ample water with a pump down the mine. This set of drilling WILL be interesting as it is known proven ground. The litmus test though is - what is still there, other than serpents. If I was drilling out there after a mouse plague I would be super vigilant and watching every tuft of grass at the moment!!! Ophir employed locally tho and the locals know what to expect, I bet some of those backpacker non-english speaking solar workers have had a shock or two in the paddocks!!!!
