They can tell a lot from the visuals of the drill holes even though they are only RC chips - ie the length of the pegmatite and also if there is a decent amount of spodumene in the chips. So they do know something we don't ie visuals of RC chips and must be encouraged enough to bring in a DD rig. It is my understanding they need DD cores to do met testing, studies (eg SS, PFS) etc so thats another reason for bringing in a DD (see the 3 October announcement which makes this very point).

While they can use DD to drill some deep holes to the lower parts of the potential deposit I am surprised they have not drilled deeper holes with the RC rigs as RC rigs can drill to 200m to 300m but to date holes drilled to date only have an average depth of 100m - quite puzzling.
