Quest was owned by Dell until recently. From memory they sold off the company for $2bn odd. See here:

They write software, mainly for corporates. It's mostly around managing infrastructure/software deployments (installations) and change control - from the applications that I've used anyway.
Popular in medium to large enterprise.
