Andrix, Yes I agree, I'm not usually inclined to get excited about s-t price spikes. But the current increase is supported by some recent broker research and recommendation: this is a short extract from today's Marcus Today newsletter:
    -------
"Some high-profile fund managers are pushing four stocks to benefit from the high AUD. Premier Investments (PMV), Data #3 (DTL), Dicker Data (DDR) and Lifecare Health (LHC). These are not the usual suspects so worth considering if the AUD continues to hold around these levels. DTL and DDR trade on reasonable multiples, pay good dividends, are currently experiencing strong earnings growth and operate in an industry with structural tailwinds."
    --------

I don't necessarily agree that a high AUD is a reason to jump into DDR, but the fact that some brokers are pushing it would explain the recent SP movement.

Also it should be noted that DDR has a track record of a long period of price stability followed by a sudden surge upwards - just look at any l-t chart and you'll see what I mean.
