I guess the benefit would be
- those who live on the dividends (including the CEO) would not be impacted, they would still get their cash
- having extra cash for the company instead of going to a bank asking for loan
- expanding the pool of shares, which makes the share price more stable (maybe?)
I guess the benefit would bethose who live on the dividends...
