Yes the DSH NZ was suppose to be profitable , although hard to believe that by the deserted DSH store near me .
In saying that there is a void in retail in NZ for a tech savy computer store chain I feel , as the current retail stores selling computers there (Noel Lehmans , Harvey Norman Warehouse stationary ) have sales reps that know more about fridges than they do about computers , and the soft ware offerings are normally expected to be installed by the customer , plus the inhome computer set up , maybe ok for 20 to 50 year olds but what about retired people or businesses that need an intranet set up ?
One of the main problems with DSH was how little product knowledge staff had , fix that with geeks and change product mix and get a successful retailer on the board and then would agree DSH would be a viable T/O.
