personally I'd doubt they would "bid" at all .
Too big , with premium it's too expensive .....needs a merger , and an agreement worked out behind closed doors by both boards so that it's fait accompli when the news comes out ....or just not happen .
Does seem likely for a tie up .....but IMO needs 2 willing parties and a hostile t/o of Spartan just not good value so not assured .
If the money market tightens then a cashed up RMS has a much better bargaining position .
RMS can as an alternative do a deal for a share of the project as opposed to buying the company .
