Certainly the best explanation I have seen as to why brokers are pushing the shares down with heaps of computer trading.
Entry to the top 300 forces the index funds to purchase WA1.
The brokers aware of this are accumulating shares below the disclosure rules with the aim of pushing the shares up again before the indices are announced then selling the shares on to the funds. It smells but as yet is lawful.
