Yes, I too noticed the swing to gas vs diesal power generation evidenced in the respective February 2019 (Fremantle) and May 2019 (Sydney) RIU Presentations.

From:

to:

Power: Gas pipeline 13.5km south of Cardinia plant site. Proposed power station at Cardinia with overhead reticulation to mining hub and pumping infrastructure (p.11)

I think a prudent decision (if indeed we see it confirmed in the PFS) given the WA government's domestic gas reservation policy.

Also, your point is well taken with regard to the whole Kin resource.

As you know, the Mineral Resource Estimate for the CGP was taken down to 17.2 million tonnes of gold mineralisation at a grade of 1.41 g/t Au for 782,000 ounces "based on a more conservative gold price assumption of A$2,000 per ounce (previous MRE based on A$2,200/oz)" as recently as April this year.

The updated MRE released in June 2019 had it back up to 18.2m tonnes at a grade of 1.44g/t for 841,000 ounces, but still based on the A$2,000/oz assumption.

Although updated optimisation parameters including revised open pit wall angles, testwork derived metallurgical recoveries and updated 2019 mining and processing costs also need to be considered, let's not forget the previous (pre-April) estimate based on A$2,200/oz was 22.5 million tonnes at a grade of 1.46 g/t Au ...for 1.05 million ounces!


And to think, the project was acquired from Navigator by the early KIN at a cost in then-known ounces of just A$2.60/oz.

That's got to give you a good kickstart whatever obstacles and stumbles you meet along the way.
