What you say is correct, however they've been formulating plans with the vendor for quite some time now. I guess they're getting closer.

An interesting thing about this announcement is it paints the clearest picture yet (imho) that they aren't releasing info in a timely manner. There would've had to have been a period of a week (at the very least) where they and TJ came up with their new plan and put it into action. This means that they would've been sitting on the info relating to the "critical milestone" that "The wafers tested consistently operated within the required electromechanical specifications." and that "the acoustic output was measured to be below our targeted specifications". Pretty annoying really, but not unexpected as I mentioned a couple of weeks ago.
