Sam most of what you say is true....
I was and still am a great believer of DCC.
The present managment must be credited thus far for the both their business model as well as the execution of their expertise.
What troubles me is the confidence that the 2nd time around they will do better in trading.
Trading successfully is a talented operation. You must have the right people to execute this.
From history they DCC have not shown any success in trading.
Why would DCC think now they can be successful in this area?

Is there an inherent influence of the previous management creeping in?

I hope not!

Hopefully i am wrong and they are taking steps to recruit the right and suitable professionals for the trading part....

Trading is not only science and algorithm....but must include a profound creative aptitude.

I don't think DCC present management have that...with respect ( just making assumption on previous track record )
If they do proceed it will be in everybody's interest that extreme risk management procedures be introduced.
It is very easy to lose in trading...
