University of Brasília (
Portuguese: Universidade de Brasília,
UnB) is a
Brazilian public
university funded by the Brazilian
federal government. It is located in the country's capital,
Brasília. The
University of Brasilia has been ranked as one of the top five universities in
Brazil and top twenty of best universities in
South America by Times Higher Education (THE). Its programs in
Economics,
International Affairs and
Political Science are ranked at #1 among universities in the country. Its general teaching, research and outreach programs make the
UnB one of Brazil’s most well respected universities. Its facilities are significant: the Central Library is home to midwestern Brazil’s largest archive and is used by research and federal employees from all over the country. The admission process is very selective, with its
