It is the formalities by both parties in ensuring all the information is provided and the partners to be able to properly do DD over something they are committing millions of dollars, their reputation, their legal risks, their stakeholder agreements, their revenues & profitability etc etc.,. It is not like buying a whitegood from the good guys. So yes, we need patience. At the end of the day, the deals will only take effect after certain milestones are met, apart from any upfront cash. So while the trials are underway, the mgmt is doing the right thing in terms of timing. If you sign too early ahead of potential readouts, you may sign in desperation and not get the best deal. So it pays to take time to show one is no hurry and that we have other options available.
