I guess a slip of the pen this time.
If the results were already clinically meaningful and statistically significant at the interim, the DSMB would have concluded "overwhelming efficacy" and recommended to switch the placebo patients onto the treatment. A "continue unchanged" decision would have been unethical.
(I think you owe @MongooseMan an apology).
