yes - if this was an efficacy interim. It wasn’t, it was a futility interim. No p value estimation as no null hypothesis testing at futility , therefore no alpha spend. simple conditional probability only.
I still say they should have divulged the minimum target they were aiming for to define futility . There’s no bias risk with knowing that. We don’t need to know the actual result (by how much they exceeded it today), just the minimum futility target as defined in protocol or stats plan . Not transparent enough imo.
