Director Appointment - Mark Benseman

Allied Farmers (Allied Farmers, NZX: ALF) is pleased to advise that the ALF
Board has appointed Mark Benseman as a director of ALF with effect from 1
October 2015.

Mark is an experienced manager and financial analyst, with over 25 years'
experience in the investment industry. Mark combines a strong financial skill
set and an appreciation of strategic issues, with experience of day-to-day
business decisions making. Mark has in the past had a role as a senior
analyst with ABN AMRO New Zealand, was Director and Head of Research with
CitigroupSmith Barney in New Zealand, and similarly with Merrill Lynch (NZ).

The Board has determined that Mark is not an independent director, as he is
an associated person of a substantial product holder in ALF.

Mark will stand for election at the 24 November 2015 Annual Meeting, with the
full endorsement of the Board.
