His role as I see it has been as the original visionary - "entrepreneur". All companies, if they are smart, develop the next level team to progress the business. This is also great for the entrepreneur as they can do what they do best, which is play around with ideas and ventures. He hasn't done interviews as he is a non exec and others, like Mark, have been doing the work for a long time!
