The joys. But humbling as could see where 5/6(7)canals and how many would be missed & how perforations easily created by clinicians - show to pts the simple impossibility of assuring complete cleansing & debridement diff anatomy or later good fill and sealing, esp with only 2d imaging as reference.
Plus how a nonvital tooth truly is in their head longterm if PA pathol.
Not missing it tho had wanted specialise endo in early years.

My mother wouldn’t let me be a vet. Also just the times, to find a job after we graduated and to fit with what viewed as a good job & life that could have + be married with kids & spouse look after etc
Should have done Medicine. So can relate - we had no idea from our limited mentoring and particular things and people who interested us, parents ideas, and how we became inspired to apply as we did.
Grew up in the country. We actually discovered diprotodon bones and skeletons on my parents property. UQ palaeontologists still visit them there and entire skeletons been found now since1970s when we found teeth which were not from present animals .
Have a diprotodon mandible and teeth that I used to take on school and kindy visits

I find I like geologists too and we are similarly not understood scientists.
I also know that my geology knowledge & more so oil and gas knowledge is pretty hopeless.
But I enjoy resources nevertheless and resources conferences now far more interesting

I predominantly invest in health- biotech and med now, although there are limited excellent companies on the asx, + my resources and some compelling overall stocks.
